Paris New Year’s 2025
There are few cities in the world that do the holiday season quite like Paris, and ringing in the New Year there with the whole family is something we won’t soon forget.
Highlights
- Street Crepes - Jack and I found a street vendor and grabbed warm crepes fresh off the griddle. Simple, perfect, and one of those travel moments you remember for years.
- Disneyland Paris - We took a detour out to Disney Paris for a full day of fun. The park has its own charm distinct from the US parks, and the holiday decorations were spectacular.
- Christmas Market at the Louvre - The undisputed highlight of the trip. The market nestled adjacent to the Louvre was absolutely magical — lights, festive stalls, and the most beautiful backdrop imaginable.
- Vin Chaud - At the Christmas market we warmed up with vin chaud, the French tradition of warm mulled wine. The perfect drink for a cold December evening in Paris.

- Get a crepe from a street vendor — skip the tourist traps and find one near a busy corner
- Vin chaud at the Christmas markets is non-negotiable; embrace it even if you’re not a wine drinker
- The area around the Louvre is stunning at night during the holidays — plan to be there after dark
