Highlights
- Golden Gate Bridge - An icon for a reason. Whether you’re walking it, photographing it from the Marin headlands, or catching it through the fog, it never gets old.
- Muir Woods - The undisputed highlight of the trip. Standing among those ancient coastal redwoods is one of those rare experiences that photos genuinely cannot do justice. The scale, the stillness, the light filtering through the canopy — you just have to be there.
- Hispanic Food Tour - One of the best decisions we made. San Francisco’s Mission District has some of the finest Latin food you’ll find anywhere in the country. Tacos, tamales, and everything in between.
- The Hills - The steep streets of San Francisco are legendary, and experiencing them firsthand — whether on foot or in the back of an Uber gripping the door handle — is its own kind of adventure.
Tips
- Book Muir Woods in advance — reservations are required and spots fill up quickly, especially on weekends
- The Mission District is the place for food — walk it, graze it, and don’t rush
- Wear layers; San Francisco’s weather changes fast and the fog is real
- Rideshares on the steep hills are an experience — hold on and enjoy it
